PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The scope of work consists of the supply of labour, equipment and materials to construction two elevator shafts to accommodate elevators connecting northbound and southbound platforms to concourse level, installation of elevators and associated equipment and installation of signage, for easier access between Stadina Station Line 1 and Spadina Station Line 2 concourse levels.
The work also includes barrier free access from each subway platform, elevator shafts to each platform, removal of two existing escalators to accomodate the new elevator shaft and its apporach ramps connecting the concourse levels. The existing stair to the northbound platform, to be widened to meet OBC requirements. The work also includes a new stair next to elevator E2, elevator machine room, HVAC room, vestibule at concourse level, some demo packages and other works.
