PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex underwent a significant expansion and renovation that enhanced the Town of Aurora’s recreational facilities. Corebuild served as General Contractor for this community-focused project, which added a standard high school size gymnasium at 8,000 square feet attached to the existing pool corridor, complete with gym hardwood sports flooring and a folding divider partition. The project also included new dry changerooms at 620 square feet, gymnasium storage at 280 square feet, and a new multipurpose room at 730 square feet, expanding the facility’s capacity and programming options.

Beyond the new gymnasium addition, Corebuild led comprehensive retrofit and renovation work within the existing building. This included a renovated and expanded administration space at 1,570 square feet, new customer service space at 690 square feet, a new universal washroom, and the retrofit of an existing preschool room into a versatile multipurpose space.
