David Petrie
VP OPERATIONS
David brings over a decade of experience in construction and project management to the Corebuild team. He provides leadership and mentorship to all operational, estimating, marketing, and field staff throughout the life of the projects in which he is involved. His expertise allows him to offer holistic leadership of diverse teams, achieving successful completion of projects that meet each client’s individual needs.
David’s project experience includes extensive work for industrial and commercial clients, including LifeLabs, Canadian Blood Services, and Greater Toronto Airports Authority. He has also provided oversight and quality assurance for many projects in his former role at AEC Developments Inc. The combination of his technical skills and specific experience were strong assets to AEC’s project team.
David has held progressively senior positions with key contractors within the construction industry. Over his career, he has gained an in-depth understanding of the general contracting business and extensive expertise in both developing working partnerships and implementing systems and processes.
David’s project experience is vast and includes a variety of different sectors including commercial, municipal, industrial, post-secondary, and healthcare. This diverse experience has given David a keen eye for cost-saving opportunities, as well as timeline efficiencies.
