Clearview Library, Stayner
Client: Township of Clearview
Architect: Lebel & Bouliane Inc.
Delivery Method: Design-Bid-Build
Capital Cost: $4,303,000
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The new 7,500 s.f. Clearview Public Library Branch was constructed adjacent to the Stayner Community Centre and Arena. The project also involved improvements to the Community Centre, including upgrades to the façade of the building, the subdivision of the community hall (to allow for smaller groups of users to take advantage of the space), and the creation of a Commemorative Gallery for the Township.
To integrate the new library with the existing arena, the design and construction incorporated a central Community Atrium space – a beautiful and bright entry vestibule to showcase the community’s history and sporting prowess. The new addition is a free standing steel structure, that is clad in a combination of metal roof and panel, curtain wall, and with wood siding accents.
